1 Day Workshop This workshop will provide you with necessary skills and tools to step into the shoes of an accidental counsellor momentarily, respond appropriately, efficiently and effectively to people in crisis or distress when there may not be a professional immediately available.
Mind Your Mates
45 Minute Presentation How do we know the signs that someone – one of your mates – is not necessarily coping or may be developing a mental health problem? This ‘toolbox talk’ will enable you to recognise the signs of depression, anxiety and thoughts of suicide in your mate.
SafeTALK
1/2 Day Workshop SafeTALK aims to increase suicide alertness to signs that a person may be considering suicide. You will learn to recognise when someone may have thoughts of suicide and to respond in ways that link them with further suicide intervention help.
All about you: self-care, resilience & recovery
2.5 Hours Presentation / Workshop In this presentation, we use a framework to explore physical, mental, emotional and social types of resilience. We focus on the importance of micro-decisions that contribute to caring for ourselves and helping to boost resilience.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
2 Day Course This course teaches adults how to assist other adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis or a mental health problem with appropriate first-aid strategies and treatments available.
Applied Suicide Prevention Training (ASIST)
2 Day Course Save lives: learn to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide, to then respond in ways that will help increase immediate safety, and to link to appropriate help.
