FREE training workshops for mental health and suicide prevention.
We’re proud to deliver the Targeted Regional Initiatives for Suicide Prevention Program, generously funded by Healthy North Coast through the North Coast PHN Program.
Throughout 2025 and 2026, we’ll be offering 68 free workshops designed to educate, empower, and help create more resilient, suicide-safer communities.
These workshops are open to anyone living or working across Northern NSW and the Mid North Coast, including Kyogle, Tweed, Byron, Lismore, Ballina, Richmond Valley, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca, Kempsey, and Port Macquarie Hastings.

LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Learn to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide, to then respond in ways that will help increase immediate safety, and to link to appropriate help.

This workshop is an abbreviated version of our telephone crisis support training and covers active listening skills, communication techniques and so much more.

A half day suicide aware module to heighten suicide awareness and the signs that someone is considering ending his or her life.

In this workshop you will learn how to assist a person who is engaging in self-injury.

This course teaches adults how to assist other adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis or a mental health problem with appropriate first-aid strategies and treatments available.

This course will teach you the signs and symptoms of someone dealing with a mental health problem or crisis and how to assist them until appropriate help is available.
